Billecart-Salmon Champagne

Billecart-Salmon Champagne

Champagne Billecart Salmon was founded in 1818 by the couple Nicolas François Billecart, a wine merchant and Elisabeth Salmon, who was from a family of Champagne growers. This association between a businessman and a woman from the vineyard was very classic at this period of time and also very complementary. Billecart Salmon is today one of the most prestigious brands in the Champagne region. They own some vineyards in the best Premier and Grand Cru areas and have strong relationships with very qualitative growers who they buy grapes from. Billecart salmon Brut réserve and Billecart Salmon Brut Rosé are the famous flagships of the house and probably 2 of the best non vintages in the sparkling world. A La Française can bring you on tours to visit the beautiful estate of Billecart Salmon !

Dom Pérignon Champagne

Dom Pérignon Champagne

Champagne Dom Pérignon is produced only in special years with exceptional harvests in order to create a vintage. Dom Pérignon's cubes are the vintages of the Champagne House Moët & Chandon. But the story of Dom Pérignon is that at first this name wrote on the bottles the name of Champagne's father. Cures wear the name of the famous monk who discovered the effervescence he lived in Hautvillers a few centuries ago. Taste Champagne Dom Pérignon and visit Hautvillers with A La Française !

The particularity of the house is to use a majority of Chardonnay in their blends even if it is the rarest grape in the vineyard (28%) and also the most expensive. The visit of the house is really impressive, being based around an old gallo roman chalk mine, reconverted in a beautiful champagne cellar. Still family run, the house is very popular abroad and 73% of the sales are done above the french borders.
